These terms of service are drawn up in Polish (Regulamin AcademiX) and translated into English. If the versions differ in meaning, the Polish version prevails (point 17.1).
1. Who we are and how to contact us
1.1. AcademiX is provided by Joachim Woźniak, a natural person not conducting business activity. Address for service: electronic only — email kontakt@academix.pl.
1.2. Contact: email kontakt@academix.pl.
1.3. Joachim Woźniak is also the controller of your personal data. The privacy policy gives the details.
1.4. The contact point for users is kontakt@academix.pl. Messages are answered by a person, not by an automated system or by the AI assistant. You can write in Polish or in English.
1.5. If the service provider changes, we will tell you in advance in the same way as about a change to these terms (section 15), and we will not transfer the contract to another entity without your consent (point 17.2).
2. Definitions
2.1. In these terms, the following words mean:
- Service provider, we — Joachim Woźniak, named in point 1.1.
- AcademiX, the app — the app for iPhone and iPad together with the services that work with it: the account, synchronisation and the AI assistant.
- Account — your AcademiX account, created by signing in with an Apple Account or a Google Account.
- Content — what you enter into AcademiX or connect to it: events, tasks, messages to the AI assistant and text typed into Quick Add.
- Consent A — Energy from Apple Health and Consent B — AI assistant — the voluntary consents described in section 6.
- Readiness — a number from 0 to 100 calculated on your phone. It is an estimate of your energy level for today, used for planning.
- Energy windows — time ranges in which, according to the app’s estimate, you have more energy today for demanding tasks.
- AI assistant — the chat in the app in which a language model answers.
- Quick Add — the field for quickly entering an event or a task. With Consent B, AI suggests a category and a priority in it.
- Beta — the test version of AcademiX, described in section 3.
- Privacy policy — a separate document about the processing of personal data, available in the app (Settings → About) and at https://academix.pl/polityka-prywatnosci. You do not accept it; you only read it.
3. What AcademiX is and what it is not
Scope of the service
3.1. AcademiX helps you plan your day. As part of the service, the app:
- shows events from Google Calendar and Apple Calendar in one view and lets you add, change and delete them;
- keeps a task list, and a task with a time and a duration gets a block in your calendar;
- reminds you of tasks with notifications on your phone, if you allow this in iOS;
- saves tasks to your account on the server, so they are available after you sign in again, and saves there a copy of events from connected calendars: the title, the times and the identifiers of the event and of the calendar;
- with Consent A, calculates readiness and energy windows on your phone and proposes a daily plan, which is saved to your calendar only when you approve it;
- with Consent A in the “from your answer” scope — without Apple Health and without a watch — lets you give an energy rating and your wake-up time in the morning and calculates an estimate from them;
- with Consent B, provides the AI assistant and AI suggestions in Quick Add;
- reads text from a photo you choose and turns dictation into text (section 9).
3.2. Using AcademiX is free of charge.
3.3. AcademiX is for your personal use, that is for you as an individual, not for an institution. It is not meant for schools, universities or employers to monitor, assess or make decisions about pupils, students or employees.
3.4. We make AcademiX available in the App Store to Apple Accounts with the region “Poland”.
Intended purpose of the app
3.5. AcademiX is a calendar and a task list. Based on your estimated energy level, it suggests when to do your tasks.
3.6. AcademiX is not a medical device within the meaning of the legislation on medical devices and has no medical purpose. It does not assess your health.
3.7. Readiness and energy windows are calculated on your phone by an algorithm based on fixed rules, without artificial intelligence, from Apple Health data or from your answer about your energy. The result is an estimate for planning your day, not a measurement.
3.8. Apple Health data and your answers are sometimes incomplete or inaccurate. When nights or measurements are missing in Apple Health, the estimate relies on less data and is less accurate. When there is too little data to calculate your result and you have not given an energy rating, the app shows a preview profile — sample data that does not describe you. The app does not arrange a daily plan from the preview profile.
3.9. The decisions are yours. Plan proposals and changes proposed by the AI assistant are not saved without your confirmation, and you can reject each of them.
3.10. For health matters, contact a doctor. In an emergency that threatens life or health, call 112.
3.11. The AI assistant is not intended for medical advice. Its answers are generated by a language model and are sometimes wrong, so check them before you act on them. An answer from the AI assistant to a question about health is not medical advice.
3.12. This description of the intended purpose defines the scope of the service. It does not exclude or limit our liability under the law (section 12).
Beta
3.13. AcademiX is in beta. We add, change and switch off features only for the reasons and on the terms set out in section 11. Errors and interruptions occur.
3.14. Known limitations of the beta on the date this version of the terms takes effect:
- (a) the deep work feature (Deep Work) is switched off and unavailable;
- (b) without Apple Health, or with too short a data history, the app does not calculate readiness from measurements: it asks for your energy rating or shows a preview profile (point 3.8);
- (c) the AI assistant’s answers are sometimes wrong (point 7.4);
- (d) account data export is not yet available in the app, so you will receive a copy of your data by email (point 14.2);
- (e) disconnecting Google Calendar is not yet available in the app (point 9.7).
4. Technical requirements
4.1. To use AcademiX you need:
- an iPhone or iPad with iOS or iPadOS 17 or later;
- internet access — for signing in, synchronisation and AI features;
- an Apple Account or a Google Account to sign in.
4.2. Signing in is required to use the app.
4.3. Calendars work once you give the app access to Apple Calendar in iOS or connect a Google Account with access to Google Calendar.
4.4. Optional: Apple Health and a watch or another device that records in Apple Health the data listed in point 6.3. They are needed for the energy features with Consent A in the “from Apple Health” scope: the readiness estimate from Apple Health data and the preview of sleep data in the app.
4.5. Without internet, the app shows events saved earlier in your phone’s memory. The app does not save the task list on your phone, so you will load it once you are connected to the internet. Signing in, synchronisation and AI features also require a connection.
Data on your phone
4.6. The app saves on your phone the data needed for the features you ask for. The privacy policy gives the full list and the purposes. On your phone we save:
- settings and preferences, e.g. language, view layout and choice of calendars;
- a cache of events, so that the calendar opens immediately;
- a draft entry in Quick Add;
- sign-in session data in the iOS Keychain;
- answers from the onboarding questionnaire about your week, wake-up time and sleep, and other daily plan settings — after you sign in, we also save some of them, the onboarding profile, in your account (point 10.3);
- with Consent A — your energy ratings and wake-up time;
- decisions about daily plan proposals (for 14 days);
- scheduled notifications.
4.7. The app only reads data from Apple Health. It does not write anything to Apple Health.
4.8. Signing out removes from your phone the data linked to your account, including the event cache, the choice of calendars, the Quick Add draft, sign-in session data, decisions about plan proposals, answers from the onboarding questionnaire, energy ratings, daily plan settings and — if you have notifications turned on — scheduled task reminders. The name from your Apple Account stays on your phone after you sign out. Deleting your account removes the same data and, in addition, the name from your Apple Account (point 14.3). General app settings, e.g. language, may stay on your phone until you delete the app. You can also delete your answers about your week and sleep from your phone at any time in Settings → Daily plan → Week and sleep. Neither signing out nor deleting the answers from your phone deletes the onboarding profile from your account (point 10.3).
5. Account and conclusion of the contract
Who can use AcademiX
5.1. An account can be created by a person who is at least 16 years old. People under 16 may not use AcademiX.
5.2. You confirm your age before creating an account by ticking the box “I am 16 or older and accept the terms of service”. By ticking it, you declare that you are telling the truth. You make the statement that you are 16 or older when you accept these terms and again in the text of Consent A and Consent B — their text ends with the sentence “I confirm that I am 16 or older.” This is why a consent given during onboarding, before you sign in, also contains the statement about your age.
How you conclude the contract
5.3. You conclude the contract in the app in this order:
- you install AcademiX on your iPhone or iPad;
- on the sign-in screen you read these terms, which you can also save or share, and tick the box “I am 16 or older and accept the terms of service” — the box is not ticked by default, and until you tick it, the sign-in buttons are inactive; below the sign-in buttons there is a link to the privacy policy, which is not accepted;
- you sign in with an Apple Account or a Google Account.
5.4. The contract is concluded at the moment your account is created after you accept these terms.
5.5. We conclude the contract for an indefinite period. It lasts until you delete your account or we terminate it (section 14).
5.6. In your account we record which version of the terms you accepted, in which language and in which app version, and the date and time of acceptance.
5.7. The current terms are always available free of charge in the app — on the sign-in screen and in Settings → About — and at https://academix.pl/regulamin. You can save or share them from the app. On request, we will send them to you by email.
5.8. Until your account is created, you can change your choice: untick the acceptance box or choose a different Apple Account or Google Account. We retrieve the name and email address from your Google Account each time you sign in, so you correct them in your Google Account. The app retrieves the name from your Apple Account only at the first sign-in. If it is wrong, write to kontakt@academix.pl and we will correct it.
5.9. You conclude the contract in Polish. The app and these terms are also available in English (point 17.1).
5.10. We have not signed up to any code of conduct or code of good practice.
5.11. This point applies only to people who run their own business. If you run a sole proprietorship (jednoosobowa działalność gospodarcza) and conclude this contract in direct connection with it, you benefit from consumer protection to the extent provided by Art. 7aa of the Consumer Rights Act (ustawa o prawach konsumenta) and Art. 385⁵ of the Civil Code (Kodeks cywilny) — provided that the contract is not of a professional nature for you. This is assessed on the basis of the content of the contract, in particular the type of business activity entered in CEIDG (the Polish Central Register and Information on Economic Activity). If this does not follow from the content of the contract, you can state, no later than when concluding the contract, whether it is of a professional nature for you. Send this statement to kontakt@academix.pl. We do not make the conclusion of the contract conditional on this statement.
Acceptance is not consent
5.12. Accepting these terms is not consent to the processing of data from Apple Health or to the transfer of content to AI. We ask for Consent A and Consent B separately (section 6).
Account security
5.13. You sign in with an Apple Account or a Google Account, so protect those accounts and your phone’s lock. If you suspect that someone has access to your AcademiX account, write to kontakt@academix.pl.
6. Features that depend on consents
Without consents
6.1. Your account, calendar, tasks and reminders work without Consent A and without Consent B.
Consent A — Energy from Apple Health
6.2. Consent A allows the app to calculate readiness and energy windows on your phone. You give it in one of two scopes:
- “from Apple Health” — the app reads data from Apple Health, and in the morning you can also give an energy rating and your wake-up time;
- “from your answer” — the app saves only your morning energy rating and wake-up time and does not read Apple Health.
6.3. On the Consent A screen with Apple Health you have three equal buttons: “I agree” (the “from Apple Health” scope), “Morning answer only” (the narrower “from your answer” scope, without Apple Health) and “Not now” (no consent). In the “from Apple Health” scope, the app reads from Apple Health: sleep stages, heart rate variability (HRV), heart rate, resting heart rate, steps, wrist temperature during sleep and blood oxygen saturation. The app opens the system window asking for access to Apple Health only after you give Consent A in this scope.
6.4. What results from this data leaves your phone only in two situations:
- when you approve a daily plan — the times of the blocks go to your Google Calendar or Apple Calendar and to your AcademiX account;
- when you also have Consent B — energy information goes to the AI assistant under the rules in point 6.7.
6.5. We do not send Apple Health measurements to our server or to Anthropic. The measurements themselves leave your phone only in an export file, if you share it yourself (point 10.7). Point 10.6 describes phone backups.
Consent B — AI assistant
6.6. Consent B allows us to transfer to Anthropic the content the AI assistant needs and the text typed into Quick Add, so that AI can suggest a category and a priority. The AI assistant receives events from the calendars visible in AcademiX (together with event guests: a name or an email address, up to 8 people per event), your uncompleted tasks and your messages. Point 10.1 gives the full list.
6.7. The readiness number and energy windows go to the AI assistant only when you have both consents switched on — Consent A in the “from Apple Health” scope and Consent B — and today’s result comes from a measurement. In every other case, including when the result comes from your answer, the AI assistant receives only the information “no result” and the number 50 — the same for everyone, not your result.
Rules common to both consents
6.8. Both consents are voluntary and off by default. We ask for each of them on a separate screen, before the app first reads Apple Health, saves your energy rating or sends data.
6.9. Without Consent A, the app does not read Apple Health and does not arrange a daily plan according to energy. We save the morning energy rating and use it for the plan only with your explicit consent (Consent A). We ask for the energy rating in the morning on the Today screen, not during onboarding. Without Consent B, the AI assistant is switched off and Quick Add works without AI suggestions.
6.10. You can switch on or withdraw each consent at any time in Settings → Privacy and data → Consents. Withdrawing a consent takes no more steps than giving it. You can also remove the app’s access to Apple Health in the iOS privacy settings.
6.11. After you withdraw Consent A, the app stops reading Apple Health and calculating energy, and we delete today’s energy rating and wake-up time from your phone. Plan settings stay on your phone: you can delete your answers about your week and sleep in Settings → Daily plan → Week and sleep, and change your sleep goal in Settings → Daily plan → Sleep goal (it returns to the default value when you sign out). Plan blocks approved earlier remain in your calendar and with your tasks.
6.12. After you withdraw Consent B, we send nothing more to Anthropic. Categories and priorities assigned earlier by AI remain with the entries. Content that has already gone to Anthropic is deleted by Anthropic under the rules in point 14.4.
6.13. Withdrawing a consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing before the withdrawal. We keep the record of giving and withdrawing a consent as described in point 14.4.
6.14. The privacy policy describes what data we process, for what purpose, to whom we transfer it and how long we keep it. It also describes your rights — access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, objection and data portability — and how to exercise them in the app or by email. We respond to a request within one month. For complex or numerous requests, this time limit is extended by no more than two months, and we will tell you about it in advance.
7. AI assistant
7.1. The AI assistant is an artificial intelligence system. A language model answers in it, not a person.
7.2. The app states this clearly before the first conversation and at the start of every conversation. The chat header has a permanent AI label. Suggestions in Quick Add are also labelled as coming from AI.
7.3. The model is Claude by Anthropic, currently Claude Haiku 4.5, provided by Anthropic Ireland, Limited. Anthropic also processes the transferred content in the USA and in other countries — details in the privacy policy.
7.4. AI answers are sometimes untrue, incomplete or out of date. Before you rely on them, check them yourself, especially dates, times and facts.
7.5. AI answers are not legal advice. Point 3.11 covers medical advice, and point 3.7 explains that readiness and energy windows are not calculated by AI.
7.6. The AI assistant proposes changes, e.g. adding, moving or deleting an event, or adding a task. A change takes effect only when you approve it with the button on the proposal card or save the edit form opened from that card. The AI assistant will not move or delete read-only events.
7.7. The AI assistant accepts up to 20 messages per minute, and Quick Add up to 30 suggestion requests per minute. If you exceed the limit, try again after a minute. The AI assistant takes into account at most the last 36 messages of a conversation, and a single message can have up to 8,000 characters. Text sent for a suggestion in Quick Add can have up to 2,000 characters. We change the limits on the terms set out in section 11.
7.8. The app does not save conversations with the AI assistant in your account or on your phone’s storage. A conversation exists only in the memory of the running app and disappears at the latest when the app is fully closed. The content of the conversation passes through our server to Anthropic. Anthropic does not train models on this data and deletes it within 30 days. It keeps it longer when its safety system flags a conversation as violating its usage policy (the content for up to 2 years, and the result of that assessment for up to 7 years), and when the law requires it.
7.9. The AI assistant is available to all AcademiX users, including people aged 16–17.
8. Your content
8.1. You enter content yourself: you type events, tasks and messages, or you connect calendars from which the app retrieves events.
8.2. Do not enter unlawful content into AcademiX.
8.3. You also enter data about other people, e.g. event guests. Do this to the extent the law allows you. Our obligations towards those people as the controller of their data are described in the privacy policy — this point does not transfer them to you.
9. Integrations
9.1. AcademiX connects to services of other companies: Google Calendar and Google sign-in (Google Ireland Limited), sign-in with Apple (Apple Distribution International Limited) and iOS system features: Apple Calendar, Apple Health and speech recognition. You also use these services on those companies’ terms.
9.2. When you sign in with a Google Account, Google immediately asks you for permission for AcademiX to access your Google Calendar — to read and change events. If you sign in with an Apple Account, you can connect Google Calendar later in Settings.
9.3. You connect Apple Calendar in AcademiX — on the screen the app shows after your first sign-in with an Apple Account, or in Settings — after granting access in iOS.
9.4. Once connected, the app shows all calendars from your Google Account and from your phone, including subscribed calendars and the birthdays calendar. On its own, it hides only calendars that duplicate another calendar. A calendar you switch off in AcademiX is not shown by the app and not passed to the AI assistant.
9.5. AcademiX makes changes to your Google and Apple calendars only as a result of your action, when:
- you add, change, move or delete an event;
- you approve a daily plan or a proposal from the AI assistant;
- you save a task with a time and a duration — the app then creates a block in the calendar, moves it together with the task and deletes it when you delete the task or remove its time or duration;
- you tick off a task or change its title — the app then changes the title of the block in the calendar, and once you tick the task off, adds a completion mark to the block.
9.6. Events and blocks saved in your calendars remain there after you delete your AcademiX account. You delete them in the calendar.
9.7. You disconnect Apple Calendar in AcademiX Settings. Disconnecting stops the retrieval of events from Apple Calendar and deletes their copies from your AcademiX account. Disconnecting Google Calendar is not yet available in the app. You can remove AcademiX’s access to Google Calendar in your Google Account settings, and we delete the copies of Google events from your AcademiX account when you delete your account (point 14.3).
9.8. How the integrations work also depends on Google and Apple. If their service stops working or they change its rules, some AcademiX features will not work or will change (section 11). This does not limit your rights under sections 12 and 13.
9.9. Dictation uses Apple speech recognition. A recording of your voice may go to Apple servers — iOS decides this. The app reads text from a photo on your phone. It does not save or send the photo.
10. Specific risks and security
10.1. With Consent B, the following go to Anthropic Ireland, Limited: the titles, times and locations of events, event guests (a name or an email address, up to 8 people per event), tasks, your messages to the AI assistant and text typed into Quick Add, and with Consent A also the energy information described in point 6.7. Anthropic also processes this data outside the European Economic Area: in the USA and in other countries (point 7.3).
10.2. The title of an event or a task, or the content of a message, sometimes reveals information about your health or about other people, e.g. “doctor’s appointment”. Enter as much as you need for planning.
10.3. Your account, tasks, copies of events and onboarding profile are stored for us by Supabase Pte. Ltd., based in Singapore. The database is located in Ireland. The server functions that the app calls also run in Ireland. The onboarding profile consists of your answers about what most often ruins your day, your kind of week and work and what time you usually get up on workdays, with the date of your answers. We save it after you sign in and accept these terms, so that we know who is testing the beta version. It stays in your account until you delete your account or until you ask us to delete it at kontakt@academix.pl. You can skip the onboarding profile questions.
10.4. The AI assistant’s answers are sometimes wrong (point 7.4).
10.5. Notifications with task titles appear on the lock screen depending on your iOS notification settings. Protect your phone with a passcode.
10.6. Data saved by the app on your phone can end up in your phone’s backup, e.g. in iCloud, depending on your iOS settings.
10.7. An export file with Apple Health data from the “What I see in Health” screen, if you share it, leaves your phone and goes wherever you send it.
11. Availability and changes to the service
11.1. AcademiX is a service that works over the internet. Interruptions occur because of failures, technical work or problems at the providers we use: Supabase, Anthropic, Google and Apple.
11.2. We change the service only for these reasons:
- (a) the security of users or of the service;
- (b) a change in the law, or a decision or order of an authority;
- (c) a change in the rules or interfaces of Apple, Google or the AI provider that affects AcademiX;
- (d) product development, including changes resulting from beta testing and temporarily switching off features, as with the deep work feature (point 3.14 (a)).
11.3. A change to the service costs you nothing. We inform you about a change clearly and understandably — in the app or in the update notes in the App Store.
11.4. If a change significantly and negatively affects your access to the service or your use of it, we will inform you by email at least 14 days in advance. You can then terminate the contract without notice within 30 days from the date of the change or from the date we informed you about it, if the information came later. This does not apply where you keep access to the service without the change at no additional cost.
11.5. Throughout the time we provide the service, we supply the updates, including security updates, needed to keep the service in conformity with the contract, and we inform you about them. If you do not install an update whose consequences we informed you about, we are not liable for a lack of conformity that results solely from not installing it.
12. Liability
12.1. We are liable for non-performance or improper performance of the contract under the Civil Code.
12.2. We do not exclude or limit liability for personal injury or for damage caused intentionally.
12.3. We perform the service with the help of subcontractors: Supabase Pte. Ltd. (servers, account and database), Anthropic Ireland, Limited (AI model) and Google Ireland Limited (the Google Calendar interface through which we show and change your events). We are liable for their acts and omissions as for our own.
12.4. We are liable for the conformity of the service with the contract under the Consumer Rights Act.
12.5. These terms do not limit the rights you have as a consumer under the law.
12.6. We have no right to decide on our own, in a binding way, how these terms are to be understood, or to determine on our own that the service works in conformity with the contract. An unclear provision is interpreted in your favour.
13. Complaints and disputes
13.1. You submit a complaint by email to kontakt@academix.pl. It can concern the operation of the service, your account, consents or data.
13.2. In the complaint, write what it concerns and when the problem occurred, what you expect and to which email address we should reply. If something is missing, we will ask — missing information does not stop us from dealing with the complaint.
13.3. We will reply by email within 14 days of receiving the complaint. If we do not reply within this time, we are deemed to have accepted the complaint.
13.4. If the dispute is not resolved after the complaint, we will send you by email a statement on whether we agree to take part in out-of-court resolution of the consumer dispute or refuse.
13.5. As a consumer, you can use out-of-court ways of dealing with complaints and pursuing claims, e.g. the help of a consumer ombudsman (rzecznik konsumentów) or of entities entered in the register kept by the President of the Office of Competition and Consumer Protection (Prezes Urzędu Ochrony Konkurencji i Konsumentów, UOKiK).
14. Termination of the contract
By you
14.1. You can terminate the contract at any time, free of charge and without giving a reason: delete your account in the app (Settings → Account → Delete account).
14.2. Before deleting your account, you can ask for a copy of the data in your account by writing to kontakt@academix.pl. We will send it within one month.
14.3. Deleting your account removes from our database your account, tasks, copies of events and profile, including the onboarding profile, and from your phone — the app data linked to your account, including the name from your Apple Account and scheduled task reminders (point 4.8). We ask Google and Apple to revoke AcademiX’s access. This does not always work (e.g. without internet), so check it in your Google Account or Apple Account settings. The app will confirm that the account has been deleted or give accurate information about the error.
14.4. Deleting your account does not immediately delete:
- content transferred earlier to Anthropic — Anthropic deletes it under its own rules within 30 days, and keeps it longer when its safety system flags the content as violating its usage policy (the content for up to 2 years, and the result of that assessment for up to 7 years), and when the law requires it;
- database backups — they disappear in accordance with the terms of our provider, Supabase;
- technical logs at our provider Supabase, including the account identifier recorded with errors — they are deleted after 7 days at the latest;
- dictation recordings, if speech recognition went through Apple servers — Apple keeps them under its own rules;
- messages you sent to kontakt@academix.pl — we keep them for up to 12 months after the matter is closed;
- the record of your acceptance of these terms and of giving and withdrawing consents — we keep it for 6 years after the account is deleted, so that we can show what we asked you and when, and defend ourselves against claims;
- events and blocks in your Google and Apple calendars (point 9.6).
14.5. Deleting the app from your phone does not by itself delete your account or the data on the servers. To delete them, use point 14.1.
By us
14.6. We can terminate the contract only for an important reason, by email, with 30 days’ notice. The important reasons are:
- (a) we stop providing AcademiX entirely;
- (b) the law or an order of an authority does not allow us to continue providing the service to you — the notice period may then be shorter, if that law or order requires it;
- (c) a provider without which AcademiX cannot work at all (Apple, Supabase or — for accounts that sign in with a Google Account — Google) permanently prevents the service from being provided. Losing the AI provider means switching off the features that depend on it under section 11, not terminating the contract.
14.7. We will block or close an account without notice only if, despite our request to stop, you continue to enter unlawful content into AcademiX. We will give you a statement of reasons.
14.8. After we terminate the contract, you can ask for a copy of your data (point 14.2) until the end of the notice period, unless an order of an authority does not allow this. We then delete the account and data as described in points 14.3 and 14.4.
15. Changes to the terms
15.1. We change these terms only for these important reasons:
- (a) a change in the law, or a decision or order of an authority;
- (b) a change in the scope of the service, including the addition of a new feature;
- (c) a change in the rules or interfaces of Apple, Google or the AI provider that affects AcademiX;
- (d) the security of users or of the service;
- (e) a change of the service provider (point 1.5).
15.2. We will email you about a change and show information in the app at least 14 days before it takes effect. We will include the new text and a description of the changes.
15.3. If you do not accept the changes, you can terminate the contract at any time by deleting your account, free of charge.
15.4. From the date the changes take effect, the app will show you a full-screen request to accept the new version of the terms. The same applies when you are signed in and your account has no acceptance of the current version. Until you accept it, you cannot use the app. On that screen you can only read the terms of service and the privacy policy, sign out or delete your account. Data synchronisation in the background may continue in the meantime. The amended terms bind you from the moment you accept them.
15.5. If a change concerns data processed or sent on the basis of Consent A or Consent B, e.g. a new type of data or a new AI provider, we will ask for your consent again before the first such processing.
16. Governing law and disputes
16.1. The contract is governed by Polish law. If you are a consumer and your habitual residence is in another country, you keep the protection given to you by those provisions of that country that cannot be excluded by contract.
16.2. Disputes are resolved by the court that has jurisdiction under the law. We do not impose on you a court that does not have jurisdiction under statute. If you are a consumer and the dispute is cross-border within the European Union, you can also sue us before the court of your place of residence, and we can sue you only before the courts of the country where you live.
17. Final provisions
17.1. These terms are drawn up in Polish. The English version is a translation. If the versions differ in meaning, the Polish version prevails. This does not limit the rights that consumer protection laws give you. You can also open the Polish version when the app is set to English.
17.2. We will not transfer the rights and obligations under the contract to another entity without your consent.
17.3. This is the first version of the terms. It applies from 14 September 2026. We will publish later versions with their effective dates at https://academix.pl/regulamin.
18. Annex — App Store
18.1. You conclude the contract with us, and not with Apple. We, and not Apple, are responsible for AcademiX and its content. This does not limit your statutory claims against Apple as the seller for purchases in the App Store.
18.2. The licence to use the app downloaded from the App Store is granted to you by Apple’s standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement. The rules of the AcademiX service are set out in these terms.
